hardware abstraction layer. IS the error code a WHEA error? (I can't read dumps but will forward them to someone who will convert them for me)
Sits between windows and hardware.
It is not the cause as without it windows cannot work. Often mentioned in WHEA errors, its why I asked.

Is CPU overclocked? remove the overclock, if it is.
Do you have newest BIOS for motherboard?
Are you running Asus AI Suite?

Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://spagyrictigershark.htmlpasta.com/

File information:010420-9218-01.dmp (Jan 3 2020 - 19:20:05)
Bugcheck:MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (9C)
Probably caused by:intelppm.sys (Process: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 1 Hour(s), 50 Min(s), and 05 Sec(s)

File information:010120-9640-01.dmp (Dec 31 2019 - 18:28:32)
Bugcheck:MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (9C)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 1 Hour(s), 48 Min(s), and 12 Sec(s)

BIOS info was not included in the dump files. This can sometimes mean an outdated BIOS is being used.

This information can be used by others to help you. I can't help you with this. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

It's ok. I'm glad you noticed the date, I didn't. I ran the new dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://masterfulhurry.htmlpasta.com/
File information:040320-9984-01.dmp (Apr 3 2020 - 00:37:07)
Bugcheck:MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (9C)

Uptime:0 Day(s), 0 Hour(s), 17 Min(s), and 06 Sec(s)

File information:040320-9750-01.dmp (Apr 2 2020 - 23:56:36)
Bugcheck:MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (9C)
Probably caused by:Pool_Corruption (Process: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 7 Hour(s), 30 Min(s), and 33 Sec(s)
BIOS info was included in the dump files this time.

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z370-E-GAMING/
There is a BIOS update available for your system. You are using version 0607 and the latest is version 2401. There are multiple special update instructions. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. I can't help you with this. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

Edit: Results for dump file below: https://unafraidtang.htmlpasta.com/
File information:040420-10265-01.dmp (Apr 3 2020 - 23:07:39)

what else?
what plugs into PC via USB as the errors are being caused by a USB device

You have some old software on this new PC

About only one of those I know can cause these errors is the Asus driver. Daemon tools can cause BSOD though.
I am just curious about rest, hence reason I asked about what plugs in.

could be the TP link driver. Its too old for win 10 but then all of those are, anything older than June 2015 is

Hey there how do you know errors are caused by usb device? I thought it was ram or cpu. Lets see i use a portable wifi hotspot that is usb and my mouse and keyboard are usb thats about it.

Here is speccy report it was done yesterday http://speccy.piriform.com/results/OcxWlirB3alPxPdjazdFx2F

original BSOD, one of them mentions umbus which is a system driver i had not seen before. A search shows its related to USB or card readers.

of the next 2 BSOD, one of those mentions USBXHCI, HIDCLASS, usbccgp which are all used to talk to USB devices.
Of the last 2 BSOD you had, one of those also mentions those...

HIDCLASS mainly used for keyboards/mice
usbccgp - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...usbcon/usb-common-class-generic-parent-driver

I got info from the conversions Gardenman did.

MCE errors can be any hardware plugged into PC. It is what makes them painful to figure out sometimes.

portable wifi hotspot that is usb
is that the TP link one? see if you can find newer drivers.

note
A machine-check exception (MCE) is a type of computer hardware error that occurs when a computer's central processing unit detects an unrecoverable hardware error in the processor itself, the memory, the I/O devices, or on the system bus. It is not caused by software. The error usually occurs due to component failure or the overheating or overclocking of hardware components. Most machine check exceptions halt the operating system and require a restart before users can continue normal operation. Diagnosing the failure can be often difficult because so little information about what caused the problem is captured during the error.

so its possibly a hardware fault and something to do with USB.

How should i proceed then

also the portable hotspot is not TP LINK

Edit: Should i run driver verifier?

Edit 2: I Have removed the tplink driver and pdanet driver. don't know how to update ASUS Input Output driver. Also there was unknown device in device manager which was asmedia usb controller which i have now installed driver for. Also my BSOD are not WHEA uncorrectable errors right?

Ugh it happened again. Could you get this analyzed. It will help narrow it down now i think. I also ran windows memory diagnostics and it returned no error. I was not doing anything this time, just 1 page on browser was open, so idk if it could be ram.

Edit: I ran intel diagnostic utility and here are the results it was pass

can you use Ethernet instead of wifi to see if you still BSOD without the hotspot attached, as although I can't see the last 7 dumps yet, half of your previous errors all spoke of USB. So if it isn't the hotspot, that only leaves the mouse or kb....

I assume GM converting them soon. I have no way of knowing

there is some similarity between MCE & WHEA errors, many WHEA error descriptions in the dumps say they are MCE. So tbh I am not sure what exact difference is. I know WHEA errors can be software, but from what i read last night, MCE seems to suggest its hardware.

hotspot may not be tp link but i find many of them use tplink drivers.

good to see CPU is okay

I can try. My hotspot also connects through Wifi. I would appreciate if you could get the rest of dumps analysed also.

Also i am asking could this error also happen if dust was there or something need reseating?. It happens at random times and i haven't touched the cabinet since i played Red Dead 2 without any BSOD's 2 months ago.

I should also tell you that i replaced my motherboard and CPU and activated windows still using the old hard drive if that has any relevance but this was 1 year ago almost. recent change i made before playing read dead 2 was to upgrade my gpu.

I doubt that is related, would think a problem like this would have started right away if it was related to that.

I had thought GM would have seen it today but his time zone is different to mine by probably 17 or so hours (I never asked)

lets see, 2nd one caused by Internet. stack text mentions tcpip which is used for internet connections, NDIS which is also lan related, RNDISMP6 which is also Network related. also mentions usb80236 .sys which is remote NDIS Tethering & other USB drivers also mentioned.

Avast caused the 6th BSOD... Try removing avast and use defender until we can stop PC crashing, it reduces number of drivers on PC as well.

half of the BSOD are less obvious but likely caused by same thing.

Have you done anything with the wifi yet? I assume its drivers are
Oct 22 2018rtwlane.sysRealtek PCI-E Wireless LAN NIC NDIS driver

can you run this for me - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/
It might show another angle.

Funny how seeing what windows is reporting shows a different side to error. 9 of your BSOD Since the 4th all show same pattern in windows -
Pattern
Nahimicv3apo.dll will crash
1 minute later AUDIO.dg.exe will have an app crash and cause the BSOD.

(if you want to see the errors, go to system information screen. On left hand side column, go to Software environment, windows Error Reporting. All 9 of the application errors led to BSOD)

Audiodg.exe is the audio component for Windows . The process enables your PC audio driver to run under a separate session as the user that is currently logged in

the cause is Nahimic - I believe its part of the realtek drivers as its used on motherboard to control audio. There are newer Audio drivers here - https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z370-E-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

But not all of the BSOD are so obvious. Some don't mention any processes in the error lines. Which could be the ones blaming the realtek LAN drivers... even though you have the newest ones...

Something odd here.
Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors.

You know since i uninstalled avast yesterday. No crashes. Could it have been the cause?

Edit: I have an update it hasn't crashed since but in between it seemed like it would crash two times but resumed normally. like screen froze and sound was buzzing for 2 sec
