Two issues happening at random times:
  1. BSoD
  2. "An operating system wasn't found" during startup. When I look into the BIOS, sometimes the boot priority changed by itself to the drive with no OS (Samsung SSD 850 Pro 512GB) , sometimes the hard drive with OS completely disappears (Samsung 970 EVO 1TB M.2 NVMe)
Troubleshooting tried so far:
  1. No dump file created after BSoD
  2. chkdsk
  3. MemTest86
  4. Latest BIOS flashed
  5. Latest drivers (GPU, WiFi etc.)
  6. Samsung Magician SSD management utility
  7. BIOS battery voltage is 3.2v
  8. Screws/cables not loose
  9. Formatted hard drive before reinstalling OS
  10. No overclocking
Config:
Both Win 10 and Win 11 tried, OS is installed on the M.2 NVMe, Gigabyte B250-HD3, NVIDIA 1050 Ti, Intel i5-7500, G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GBx2

At this point I suspect something is wrong with the motherboard, especially the part that connects the M.2 NVMe drive. Before I go buy another motherboard, could something else be the culprit?

sounds to me like you probably need to get drive replaced. It is under warranty, you can contact Samsung and see what they say. It has a 5 year warranty.

did you run diagnostics in Magician?
Yes I ran the diagnostics in Magician and it didn't find any issue. Warranty replacement is a good suggestion and I'll give it a try. Thanks
