Question BSOD- Ryzen 5600x during gaming

Since installing my new Aorus A520 ELITE with bios version f12 and my new Ryzen 5600x CPU I've been experiencing WHEA Undetectable errors during gaming. However, not all games give these. Some examples which do give are Apex Legends, Valheim and sometimes Escape from Tarkov. Details of the WHEA Undetectable error are as follows:

I have already used OCCT and stressed my cpu to its limits without any bluescreen. I also removed two out of the four RAM sticks twice to see if it was a memory malfunction. I haven't tried Memtest86 yet. Is my CPU broken or can I fix it? My motherboard also doesnt support OC, So I cant turn off PBO, which I read online might be the cause. Can anyone help me?

I used Windows Media Creation Tool to do a new install. I used the option 'keep personal data and apps'. Still gives a BSOD when playing Apex Legends. Did I do something wrong?

Can you give a more detailed partslist like for instance this way,

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "Summary for Clipboard",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
copy by clicking "copy to clipboard" and rightclick+paste in your next respons

PS. I did use f13c at the beginning, but still got BSOD, I see it is F13g now but I downgraded to F12 because its a stable version. Is it wise to try f13g?

I dont know if it could be the cause of your problems but I see you are using two sets of different RAM and mixing RAM sets is not a great idea. Have you tried just using one set and see if you have the same problem?

At this point I am completely clueless about what could be the issue. I did read somewhere that AMD does have faulty 5600x's on a thread about the Cache hierarchy error and Bus/interconnect error. Maybe I should return it and get a new one...

I've been fighting this issue with my 5900X all year. I'm running Linux and often it doesn't even happen under any sort of specific load. I've seen a lot of other people complain about this issue specifically with other Ryzen 5000 series processors.

Things I've ruled out:
BIOS updates (I basically check ASRock's website every few days and apply any new BIOS updates)
BIOS settings (not overclocking. I've tried boosting voltages and setting LLCs aggressive to level 1. no help.)
RAM (tried several kits)
Other hardware
Linux

I'm not 100% sure if it's my motherboard (ASRock X570 Taichi) but I am pretty sure it's probably not. I have other Ryzen CPUs I want to swap in here and test to make sure it's not a board related issue. Searching for this issue, there are many other people suffering from this same exact issue, whether on Windows or Linux.

I'm starting to think this is a case for an RMA with AMD. I've heard of others resolving this problem that way.

I went ahead and directly contacted AMD support with the same information and this is the reply ive gotten from them:

"Thank you for the email
I understand that you are getting WHEA BSOD error on your computer with AMD Ryzen 5600X CPU.
Reset the motherboard BIOS (clear CMOS). Remove the CMOS battery for few minutes and reinsert it.
Update the BIOS for your motherboard with latest version and check the status.
Try disabling Resizable BAR option in BIOS settings.
Reduce the RAM Speed to 3200Mhz and check the status.
Use Windows balanced power plan.
Set the minimum processor state to 0% or 5% in power plan settings.
Make sure you have updated the Chipset and display drivers to latest version.
If the issue remains same, please claim warranty for the CPU using below link."

I am right now trying to configure all these settings and testing them. So far the only problem ive ran into is reducing the RAM speed, since I don't see any settings for these in my BIOS. I updated my bios to f13 and still got bsod's, tjherefore that option can be ruled out. I also disabled Core Performance Boost (CPB) and Core precision Boost (CPB). I hope this helps.

Update: Ive been playing apex Legends uninterrupted now for 2 hrs. Usually id already have gotten 2 bsods at least. To give more details what Ive done: Ive cleared Cmos by removing the motherboard battery. Disabled PBO and CPB. Changed to Windows balanced powerplan in energy management and using advanced energy plan, set the minimum processor state to 0% or 5% in power plan settings . Furthermore I reinstalled AMD chipset drivers using the website of my mobo Aorus A520 Elite rev 1.0.

PBO isn't recommended on the A520 chipset...it's a base level motherboard with poor vrm and not meant for overclocking. PBO is overclocking. CPB should work without issue.

FYI, I have an ASRock X570 Taichi so PBO/CPB should be just fine. I haven't contacted AMD yet but that's exactly the response I have anticipated and so that's why I've been doing my homework all this time. I only experience a crash / week so it hasn't been the most pressing matter, but it is rather annoying.

Lately I've been plotting Chia plots on my machine and which involves fully loading up the processor and performing many terabytes of writes / day. I was actually seeing this MCE happen more frequently. Per a thread on community.amd.com (https://community.amd.com/t5/proces...rashing-restarting-whea-logger-id/td-p/423321) I decided to tweak my LLC (Load Line Calibration) and set it to the most aggressive. Not enough data yet. No crashes but I've had the process now die twice due to this error. It happened in such a way that it managed to kill the process and not my system!

You should start your own thread about your specific issue(s). Jumping into another persons thread that's using a different cpu and motherboard is not going to get you much help.

Many Ryzen 5000 users seem to have this problem. I created this thread because in every other thread I found the solution was disabling overclock settings which I'm not able to do because of my mobo. Therefore I asked the internet if there would be a possible solution! It seems to me that AMD is aware of this issue but isn't 100% sure what the problem is if you look at the big troubleshoot list AMD sent me. What I do know almost for sure is that the problem is the CPU and not the mobo/memory/other components. I hope that this thread will provide usefull information to fellow google users who camp with the same situation!

Thank you for creating this thread, btw! I don't think that disabling CPB/PBO is a reasonable solution, I actually have been using it more for diagnostic purposes. Have you tried bumping your Vcore and Vsoc LLCs (Load Line Calibration) to Level 1? Doing a quick Google search, it seems that your motherboard should have this option. I am currently trying that without any other tweaks and I'd hazard to say that the results so far are good but I haven't tried long enough to say. YMMV.
