So I built my own computer from scratch for the first time and it has been running flawlessly for weeks. That is, until I purchased a new HD LED monitor and Sapphire R9 290 card.

Now, I have gotten a BSOD both days I've had it installed. If I remember correctly, both times I have gotten it has been while viewing youtube videos at 1080p. The second time it was for sure, don't remember the first time but I think it was as well. I can run games on ultra/maximum just fine.

My build:

AMD A8-7600
Corsair 8GB (2x4) RAM
Corsair HX650 PSU
Sapphire R9 290
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Gigabyes APU motherboards won't disable the on-board graphics until you do it manually, you will keep getting a BSOD or complete boot failure until you go into the bios and disable to on-board graphics. I had the same issue in my old HTPC when I switched my old 7970 to it when it had an APU.
I did a suggested method of changing the 2D clock speed to 420 (from original 300). I guess I'll see how that goes.
I have the latest version of all of AMD's catalyst crap and installed the latest drivers for everything as well.

I'll do the stress test program you linked as well.

EDIT: Passed the stress test. http://puu.sh/j8sOF.png

well sometimes the latest drivers have problems and reverting to older ones helps till they work out the kinks.

you can try this guy. He'd been making tweaked drivers for years and i never had issues with them. His site seems to be offline at the moment though.

Well welcome in the club mate! try to read this thread, you may find a solution to you problem, or be sentencd to endless BSOD cycle like myself.

Good luck to you and please update if you manage to find a solution.

Well, the clocking to 420 didn't fix the issue, it crashed again just now.

So.. Is this a hardware issue? Because I want to RMA if it is before I've had it too long.

Some people say the RAM but its hard to believe its bad if it worked for weeks perfectly and the second I plug in the 290 it goes bad. Not to mention its Corsair Vengeance Pro.

I know, but why would it go bad the second I put in the R9 and not the month I've been running it before?

Anyways, I did a stress test on the CPU, RAM, and GPU. Ran it for about 2+ hours and did absolutely fine.

I uninstalled Chrome and shockwave, java, and flash player, then re-installed all but Chrome. Haven't had another BSOD yet but it usually only happens once a day, so we will see tomorrow.

I can't seem to download any BIOS updates from my mfg. website because I get the error that they are not compatible with my version of windows.

I ran the program you linked and get the following information:

Okay. I used DDU. I currently am now running with JUST the display driver and no AMD software attached.

Also, MOBO info is in my post above this one.

That is the one I tried (and the one below it as well). This is the error I got when opening the file:

Solution
I'll go ahead and and try the first solution, and see if I get a BSOD within the next 24 hours. If not, chances are it might fixed. If so, I'll continue with the update attempt.

I appreciate everyone's help. This forum always pulls through for me.

UPDATE:

Okay. It was set for "auto" on integrated graphics so I changed it to disabled. I also noticed I am indeed running version F5 instead of the newest F6. So if I was to update via flash drive, do I just boot from the flash drive and it will install the update to the BIOS?

I've never done it that way before so I'm a little unsure.

Alright. I see a section that says "Load/Save Profiles". When I select that, it allows me to select file from HDD/FDD/USB. Would this be the correct thing?

And if so, which file is it that I would select? The actual application file I would normally open?

EDIT: If I open the batch file like I would the application file, I get this error; similar to the other:
