Build For a 1060.

Are you sure you want to get a intel core i7 6700K. its about a 3% increase in gaming and a $100 difference to the Intel core i5 6600K. I would get a intel 6600K. Its worse but its $100 cheaper. If you want to play say cities skylines. get a inel core i7 6700K. Cities skylines is a very CPU intensive game. The main difference is the i7 6700K has hyperthreading. If your going to video render get the i7. But for everything else get a i5 6600K.

Uhhh....I would get a different boards....I would recommend a Gigabyte or EVGA motherboard, as Asus and Asrock are known for having seriously bad customer support. They lie about their products.

I own the Asus ROG Maximus Hero VII motherboard and testing has shown that my board's m.2 socket cannot be booted from. I then went to Newegg's page to check and a rep pop-up appears saying I could chat with him/her. I asked if the motherboard (that I already had) could boot from the m.2 socket. He/she said yes. Not to mention the multiple instances I found my motherboard not wanting to start and other random occurrences. For a $260 motherboard from Micro Center I expected better.

Trust Newegg reviews. Asus seems to be either fine or a nightmare, with tons of problems. Asrock seems to be really stingy over customer support. I could find no 4 star or more reviews on Newegg for a Z170 motherboard except for this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157636 which still seems bad if you read reviews.

Gigabyte I found had some issues....but hardly any about customer service. Same goes for EVGA (other than their FTW Z170's weird useless 6 pin supplementary power that is blocked by the PSU....not a big problem but weird) that have great customer support.

I think the G1 from Gigabyte would be a MUCH better choice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W03VR9011
Some complaints over sound, but you could buy a PCI audio card if that happened.

Or the EVGA FTW Z170 motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188178

Ugh. One bad issue with ASUS and already disliking them. I personally have no issues with Asus mobo at all. If you have problem it is batter to ask tomshardware since chat services really not helpful much. And for Newegg reviews anyone who bought the product can review it regardless of whether it is bad or not

Ever heard of Newegg Verified Owner? I'm saying that multiple people have had bad experiences and that this is reflective of their brand. And it is better to ask Tomshardware than the company that made the product? ARE YOU SERIOUS? If a manufacturer is not honest with their customers, those customers won't want to buy their products anymore. As seen with how a lot of people (not me) hate Nvidia for lying about how much VRAM their Nvidia 970s had.

And +envy14tpe while reviews can show how well a brand works and offers, those are cherry picked products. Not every motherboard you get is going to be the same quality as the ones the reviewers receive. And speaking of reviews... I wonder why there are 0 motherboard recommendations from Tomshardware for Intel Motherboards and only 2 recommedations for AMD Motherboards. I am referring to their Intel Z170 motherboards, not AMD motherboards.

If you have never had an Asus Motherboard before, how can you say they are a solid brand? Do you own Monitors or GPUs from Asus? Use their products before saying they are great.

And one issue from Asus? First of all, you do not know me so saying that is assuming I am already hating on Asus. Even though I bought a shoddy Asus monitor 3 years ago which is a pretty bad monitor...bad color range and gamma ratings. Not being informed my main Asus monitor has only support for G-Sync and 3D and not actually having it makes me mad as well. Other than that my main monitor works well.

Both of you need to take in mind user reviews and try to consider others opinions. Yes one bad issue doesn't mean a brand is bad. But multiple boards have lackluster m.2 support. I have seen this on over 5 Asus motherboards which is a fact, not opinion or just one user.
