Anyways if he is fine with the 760 then this build shall serve him better. And it is in his budget complete with CPU cooler and Everything. Now what do you have to say for this build. I am sure this is the best for his needs. I somehow cramped a next gen CPU and Motheboard in this budget. And still everything is of top notch quality, including the Motherboard. The Asus motherboard has the 8-Phase VRM which is good and would be preffered by any overclocker. :

No. man.. why the hell would you goo with the 2-3 years old CPU when cheaper CPU's today offer similar performance. There is no point in getting the Sandy Bridge i5. Wait for about 10 minutes. I will soon post a reworked build for you because you really do not want to go for 2 generations old CPU. Belive me you do not.

Tried to make some improvements on your build. Got a faster GPU, better PSU, cheaper CPU (3570k), good mobo, cheaper n fast RAM.

So here it is, the 840 pounds gaming beast. It is much much much better than the build you selected and it uses a newer socket and a much powerful newer CPU without the need to overclock. I am sure that you will like this build.

If you think that the answer helped, then don't forget to select it as the best answer. It would be highly appreciated by me.

Okay so if you want to overclock then spending the extra 50 dollars would be worth it. For overclocking go for this one, run it at stock speed for some time and then add in an aftermarket heatsink later when you have like extra 25 dollars laying around :

This build is just for you. You might like it.

The build I made will overclock well due to the high quality mobo. Also, a £219.00 GPU will max out the games you want to play. You don't need to spend more on a GPU.

A 550W system is enough power and won't hold it back. You could even get a 500W PSU, but the XFX 550W is a great PSU made by Seasonic.

HAF 912 is really popular. It's an excellent all around case with great cooling so your components won't get hot.

You did not mention how the 760 is better than a 7970 in your opinion? It is very important to know. Also you did not mentioned how is an older 3rd Gen CPU better than a new newer 4th Gen CPU from my build (in your opinion of course 😀 )

Because the real truth is that the 7970 is somewhat better than the 760 and has more VRAM. Might come in handy in future games or at higher resolution.

Also did i mentioned that there is a complete socket change from 3rd Gen CPU to the 4th Gen CPU. Hence the newer LGa 1150 socket should be more upgradable for the future. Even if it lasts 2 years that would be a lot more than the older LGA 1150 socket.

And the price difference between the 550W PSU and the 650W PSU is just 8 dollars, so this makes it a definite buy.

And just because the Zalman Cases are "not popular" does not mean that they are not good. They are awesome cases in that price segment with an awesome Side Window.

Please, accept the fact that a i5 4770K + 7970 is far more better than the i5 3570k + 760.

Okay, you can have the 760 as it is still a good GPU but please stick to the i5 4670K, that should be better.
Keep everything the same and just go for the i5 4670k + 760 . That might easily fit in your budget.

3570k (£168) + 670 (£219) = £387
4670k (£180) + 7970 (£300) = £480. That's a huge difference.

Yes the 7970 is a better GPU, but you don't need a £300 7970 to play Minecraft, WoW, Sim City...a 7970 is a waste of money. You can play on Ultra settings for £80 less, so why throw money down the toilet?

550W vs 650W. 550W is plenty and if you wanted a second GPU then you'd need at least 700W, so 650W wouldn't be enough.

Good luck OP.

What the hell? The i5 4670K + Z87 Motherboard + Zalman Z9 =/= i5 3570K + Z77 Motherboard + CM HaF 912 Plus.
Also you went for the MSI 760. I went for the Asus card which is higher on the clocks.

And what do you mean by my build? I was just trying to fit the Haswell i5 in the budget. That is why i had to cheap into certain things. Hence i looked PCPartPicker for the most parts. What makes you think that i took parts from your build?
