I'm going to build my own computer and this is what i think is the best for my money (please evaluate this):

Battlestations 1GB DDR5 256bit DVI HDMI PCI-E RTL

HDDs:
-1000Gb Seagate 32Mb SATA2
-640Gb WD 32Mb cache SATA2

Board:
-ASUS P7P55D EVO P55 LGA1156

Monitor:
-22" LCD Asus VK222H

RAM:
-DDRIII 3072Mb (3x1024)PC12800
1600Mhz Kingston Kit of 3

Optical Drive:
-DVD(+/-)RW ASUS DRW-22B2ST

Micro:
-Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz

all looks good but id bump up to 6 gigs of ram 3 x 2 gig stick

With an i5, I would get either 4GB or 8GB of RAM since it uses dual channel memory. 4GB should be plenty.

^+1. The i5 don't support tri-channel, so, 4GB or 8GB. With 4GB is enough for now, Why don't get the Spinpoint F3 of Samsung?. And maybe a 5770 or 5850 can run better with your rig.

Those two cards perform worse than a 4890. Could you also expand on "run better with your rig"?

My adjustments:
4GB Patriot Sector 5 Viper II 1600MHz DDR3
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB data drive
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB system drive

and another reminder that P55 motherboards are DUAL channel so you want to keep your RAM in pairs. 4GB or 8GB is easiest

IF you really do want 6GB then you will need a 4GB kit and a 2GB kit, but having to find a 2GB kit with matching speed and timings isn't worth it, you might as well just get 2 4GB kits.
