Hey guys!

I have been searching for a pc to build and have found the following

Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 Motherboard
Intel CPU Core i3-4360
Corsair RAM DDR3 4GB(x2) Dimm 1600MHz Vengeance
Sapphire VGA PCI X R7 265 2GB GD5 D-X

So my 1st question is if all these are compatible.
Should i change the r7 for a gtx 750 TI?
Is a 650W power supply enough, or too much?

Regards!

Solution
4570 is good instead of 4440 - better and only 10$ more.

590$ total

You could try XFX PSU but i have no experience with them. Made by Seasonic.

For the mobo id say check out ASUS B85M-G it might be a little better quality for just 6$ more, people say Asus boards more reliable.

CPU seems fine, though you could read some reviews and compare it to say I5.

R7 265 is great i got it for my friends pc, the only thing you miss from Nvidia is Physx(dust, explosion decoration, flying particles). You could go up to R9 270x (for 30$ more). Other than than that they both similar though Radeon is better for Battlefield. I also think gtx 660 is a bit better than 750.

The ram you should check for compatibility, could you post the model number here? It should be fully compatible yes. Worth double checking though.

650 is more than enough, you could go with 550 for that rig as i did for my friends pc. Seasonic S12g 550...

Btw whats your budget?

Cheers

Wouldn't the I3 work on the B85 after a bios update? ASUS shows it as compatible from version 0904.

Thank you all for your answers

I would like to say somthing about the cpu
Just by looking the comparisons(http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-4440-vs-Intel-Core-i3-4360) I beleive that the only disadvantage of the i3 is that it has 2 procs instead of 4, which i think means it will be more "tired" in multi-tasking.
As for the gpu, for real gtx 660Ti is way better than gtx 750Ti but still 25% more expensive :/
RAM specs (http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-4gb-single-module-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz4gx3m1a1600c9) I am not sure whether it works on 1600MHz or not, cause it says Tested Speed 1600

My budget is around 500euro and i want to get only cpu, graphic card, ram, mobo, psu

Honorable

It would but he'll need a very low end Haswell MK.1 CPU to update the bios.

I would take the R7 265 or even an R7 270 over the 750ti (don't get me wrong, it's a good card and super efficient, but it's too expensive for the performance atm)..

Allot of modern games (e.g. battlefield 4) are coded to use multiple cores now, so the i5 with 4 physical cores will out perform the i3 (which is 2 physical cores + hyperthreading, windows will see it as a quad however it won't perform to that level). If you can manage it, the i5 is a better investment long term.

Actually I think ASUS have a system to update the bios with no cpu installed (just put the bios onto a memory stick, plug it into the motheboard and press the 'update button')... There's some info on their website about it, and it's a neat solution to the 'my motherboard *should* support this cpu' problem...

So you prefer i5 4440 and you mean R9 270 right?
Same thing..I'm trying to stay around 500euros..every change is like 30 more expensive..As a result i go over 600..
From what you say the choices i made are the best for this amount of money, right?

Yeah R9 270 sorry...

Yeah it's a problem when you have tight budget. I guess the 4360 is sufficient and the R7 265 is a good card (much wider memory bus on it than a 750ti).

Personally

What about the Cache memory? 4Mb for i3 while 6Mb for i5..Is there a big difference?

Thanks a lot for the trouble you got into, and i will really take into consideration the R9 suggestion..the only problem is that I leave in europe, and as i mentioned above, my budget is around 500 euros..i serched for the same things( except the psu and the ram) and got about 615euros..Anyways I think I'm gonna go with i5 4570 and R9 270X unless a discount comes up :D
