Please keep it to 1 thread.
I’m on a budget and planning on build a pc and am planning on using the:
RTX 2070
Ryzen 5 3600X
MSI mag forge 100r

1) Would this work?

2) If so I need a compatible motherboard that’s quite cheap and good (like £60 or under but can go a bit higher)

3) Also are there any parts that I’m forgetting to factor in?

4) What fps do u think it would give me on the lowest settings in Fn ?

Feel free to give me any tips as I’m new and all I really want is high fps with the lowest settings also what parts should I buy 2nd hand and what new.

What is your maximum budget for ALL necessary parts?

Power supply; case; video card; cpu; cooler if not included with cpu; motherboard; RAM; Windows; drives; possibly fans;

Name a web site or two from which you might buy parts.

I'd guess the cpu is probably the best part to buy used IF you have a reliable source. They are nearly indestructible. Motherboard maybe the worst to buy used.

Pay attention to power supply quality.

What about a used gpu and I’m planning on using eBay also any recommendations for compatible motherboards/power supplies

Hello, I tried to make a budget build that you could drop in a high-performance graphics card into later but it went way over budget. I'll post it here anyways:

I would recommend rx 6600, it's cheap compared to the rest and it will run basically anything nowadays if u dont mind playing on 1080p 60 fps

Your budget is too low. Add another 200 or you wont have a chance of building a decent PC.

Intel build:

If you buy this motherboard you can upgrade to a 14th gen intel CPU in the future. You can upgrade the graphics card too. There is power.

Don't expect to find a 2070 easily or for a good price. Better take a 3050 or 4060 if buying nvidia. AMD's 6600 is probably the best pick out there.

^ I would not spend that much on a 3050. The A750 for £180 is better value compared to the 3050.

That phanteks case comes with a single 120mm fan. Need a few more fans. At that point, you might as well buy the RGB version.

But it is true that with a 700 quid, you could get a well rounded gaming PC.

Agreed on the value of the 3050. Limited budget ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

I'm not familiar with the A750. Does it require re-bar or something special in terms of support?

That's a very good build.
I would try to grab the AsRock Extreme though. It's a z690 board and it's capable of running a 14th gen i9 no sweat, which is a hell of a future upgrade.
A gen 4 NVMe is not going to be noticeably faster, so i would save the 20 there.

I like the power supply. Didn't know the FOCUS was so close in price.

As someone who’s used and for years, op you are better off with Intel this go around on a budget. I’ve used amd PCs since the late 90s.

Don’t get me wrong their performance is great, I had a socket am4 system for years and it’s a fine platform. But socket am4 is a dead end.

If you build with a zen 2 cpu, you are going to be 3 generations behind as an 5 is supposed to arrive soon. With socket am4 the highest you can go is zen 3. Whereas yes Intel will switch to a new socket but their current generation is 14th. Even if you went with a 12th generation i3 for example, you could upgrade later to a 14th generation i7 or i9 with the right board.

Either way it’s your money. But you would have better options if you listen to some of guys above who posted builds for you imo.

If you do go with the amd box, get the ryzen 3600(non x). Comes with a box cooler and you won’t need to spend extra on another cooler.
