I would advise highly against the 9700K and for the new 5600X since that is also going to be $300. Get a B450/B550 that will support the CPU and you have single core performance greater than the 10900K. 9700K.is not worth it

Not very well balanced at all. A high power consumption cpu that can hit 200w, paired with a 140w cooler.
You use a fast cpu, and pair it with high volume, slow loading storage, no ssd to kick up the fps.

I'd totally go for something like this. Board can be changed to a 110 dollars B450 Tomahawk MAX or a cheaper B550. With that amount saved the RAM could be 3600MHz CL16. Lots of changes can be made.
