I've never build a computer before, but I need a project for the next month or 2. So I would apriciate some feedback. I've looked around and this should fit my budget barely.

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6600 2.4Ghz 4MB
MB: Asus P5B deluxe
Case: Thermaltake VX VF4400BWS Bach
PSU: OCZ GameXstream 700 Watt
HD: Seagate 250GB 16MB SataII
DVD/CD burner: NEC AD-7170
VGA: Point of View 320MB 8800GTS PCIe
Memory: Corsair 2048MB 2K DDR2 128Mx64 PC6400 Twin 5-5-5-12

I would like to build a system for playing the latest games, video processing, ...

Thanks for any feedback.

i think that you went a little over board on the psu, but it should be fine if it fits you buget, as fro the mobo the p5k is cheaper and it is p35 so can run intelss new chips

Thanks for the replies.
I think I'm going with the MB you sugested. (p5k)
As for the PSU. I'm looking for something that can be used for years. It has to be able to cope with upgrades to the system. So I'm thinking of leaving it like it is or going for the 600W version.

if you plan on using it for a while then i guess i would leave it where it is because things only go up in power consumtion, especially graphics cards
