Ok, I am going to try and build a PC strictly for video editing. I currently use Adobe Premiere Elements 11, however, I plan to upgrade to an actual copy of Premiere (CS6 or whatever the newest is). I hope to have it all purchased within a month (The sooner the better, though.) I had set a budget of $1500, but it looks like I'm going to exceed that with this build, but I have to stay under $2000. I need everything except a mouse and keyboard, since I currently only have a laptop, and will not be able to use any parts from that for my new PC.

I don't plan on doing much in the way of 3d stuff, at least not anytime soon. The most I might do is use Adobe After Effects (in addition to Premiere), which I am not at all familiar with.

I have been browsing various forums looking for some suggestions, and I have selected the following parts for my build:

Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Memory: Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model KVR1333D3N9K2/8G

Graphics Card: EVGA 02G-P4-2676-KR GeForce GTX 670 FTW LE 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video
Card

HDD: Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD5000HHTZ 500GB 10000 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard
Drive - OEM

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition RC-932-KKN3-GP ATX Full Tower Computer Case with USB 3.0, Black
Interior

PSU: SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC
Power Supply

Monitor: LG 27EA33V Black 27" 5ms HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor, IPS-Panel 200 cd/m2

OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
64-bit - OEM

CD/DVD BURNER: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

I'm not sure about a few things. Is any of that overkill, or perhaps not sufficient for what I am wanting to do? (Video editing using Adobe Premiere) If anyone can give me any pointers or anything, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I don't really have any brand preferences, aside from the Intel Processor. I was mostly selecting brands that I thought were the better quality.

This is more what you need. Really that 3770k is good cpu but for what you do with this build there is need for a fastest cpu.
Then if you can wait two months new 4930k is coming out. So maybe best wait that. New mobo is coming out too.
Buld like this .

Then now you can buy this. and upgrade SSD and HDD later.

maybe better case?
Fraactal R4 is silent and good case. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcadefr4bl
If you like bigger then XL. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcadefxlr2bl

Other good ones are Silverstone (pricy) Corsair. Good ones are pricy. NZXT ,CM , Lian Li are good.
For example this is really nice. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/lian-li-case-pc7fnusb30
You can have this with window. I think not sure. Have seen one with window. Farctal R4 you cann have white ,black, grey with or without window.

Then some expaining the build. First bigger 256GB SSD is for OS. Theene smaller pne is for cashing. You can make CS use this cashe. This smaller SSD can be 32-128GB 64GB is good size but this 128GB was cheap so why not bigger.
Then HDD make tho 1-3TB drives to RAID 0 here goes files (load space) Buy usb 3 card reader if your camera uses such cards. Then 3TB drive is where your edited materil goes in end. Wll in end they go to DVD or BlueRay but anyway.
Try to follow :) GPU is "just 650Ti Boost" but it is really good sure you can buy GTX 760 or better but no real benefit there. If you need better for like if you use 2560 1440 monitor then maybe GTX 760 770 780 are good choice.

And in the end the monitor. This is now cheap and 2560 1440 would recommend this because it's the best value in its class. http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-2560x1440/dp/B00CI3EQA2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1376552616&sr=8-4&keywords=QNIX%E2%98%85+QX2710+LED+Evolution+ll

Thanks for the response. Obviously I need all the input I can get, since I still am not sure if I fully understand what I'm doing haha. I'm going to try and be patient with this, and make sure I get the best parts for my money.
