Hello,

I am happy to announce I am switching to an SSD!
I will be running a HDD 4 way Raid 0...

So the SSD I have settled on is -

AMD Radeon R7 240GB SSD
It is currently $139.99
So my question, will the price for this OCZ/AMD drive go down best during Black Friday/Cyber Monday or not at all.

And do I need a controller for this array to perform better, if so which one?

Not to start an argument but, the AMD one has better specs... (Read/Write in MBps, 4 KB in in IOPS)

Crucial Samsung OCZ/AMD
Read 550 540 550
Write 300 520 530
4KB Read 85,000 97,000 95,000
4KB Write 70,000 66,000 90,000

So yeah....

Hmm, usually do SSD's go down in price?
And do I need a controller?

There is no 'usually'. Especially regarding BF/CM.

BF/CM is merely a marketing term for "Random stuff that may or may not be slightly cheaper between 1 Nov and mid-January."

Will that particular part be cheaper next week as opposed to today? Who knows...

'Controller'? For what? The RAID thing you want to do?
Why do you feel the need for that RAID?

Well since I have heard AMD FX series mobos are ancient, advised to buy a raid controller or Hardware raid.
And, if I use the RAID 0, what stripe size should I use?
I play games like BF4/Titanfall/Call of Duty Advanced Warfare?
