Hi...I'm planning to buy a P4 2.6 in the near future and the cheapest ones on pricewatch.com don't
always show details like stepping. As long as I get one with the 800MHz bus speed, am I guaranteed to get one with c stepping and hyper-threading??

Yes, all the 800FSB P4s are C stepping.

P4 2.4C @ 3.0GHz 1.525V Stock HSF
Abit IS7 BIOS v1.3 GAT Auto
Corsair XMS 512MB TwinX3200C2 2-3-3-6
GeForce4 Ti4200 AGP8X 128MB
Seagate Barracuda 80GB SATA

Unless I see documentation otherwise, I wouldn't call "C" a stepping, but a model designation indicating 800 bus and HT. All 800 bus processors include HT.

Steppings usually come with longer names.
