Hi Guys, I was wondering if you all could help me, My current PC is on its way out and i need to build a (Budget) new one. However i have matured from gaming PC's and need a Workstation PC (Gaming PC's are all i really know about).
So i'm an architect and i use the following programs on the daily:
AutoCAD
Autodesk Revit
Vray Renderer
Lumion
Enscape
And i do the occasional bit of DAW work with music.
I need assistance with configuring a Workstation build which is going to be better than my current build, which is as follows:
AMD A8-5500
24GB DDR3
AMD R9 200 Series
(HDD's and SSDs are not relevant to this)
Now my budget is around £500 with all parts being second hand or cheap.
Autodesk Revit is VERY CPU intensive.
Enscape is VERy GPU intensive
Vray can render with Cpu or GPU, its faster with GPU but only works with CUDA.
DO i bother building a new PC or go and get say a HP Z800 or similar?
