So 6 moths ago i had some issues with my pc. It randomly crashing. At some point the motherboard could detect just 8 out of 16 gb of ram and after that the pc wouldn't turn on. At that point i send both the motherboard and the cpu to the retailer and after some time i got my cpu and a new motherboard back. 6 months have passed and my pc is dead again. This time i can turn on my pc but i can't get any display and all my rgb are turned off, except my ram rgb. I have tried swapping my gpu and my ram modules but nothing changed. I sent them again to the retailer and this time the mobo is fine but the cpu is dead. Is it possible that my cpu got fried by the old motherboard or it might be something else?

My pc specs:

Cpu: ryzen 5 3600
Cpu cooler: Arctic Ac Freezer 34
Mobo: gigabyte x570 gaming x
Ram: Corsair vengeance rgb pro 16GB Dual chanell kit
Gpu:GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Gaming OC 3X
Boot drive: intel 660p series 1tb
PSU: Corsair RM 650X
HDD: Seagate BarraCuda, 2TB

Yes, a failed motherboard could harm the CPU, depending on the cause of the problem. That said if the CPU worked fine for 6 months that suggests something else could be going on...

The most likely cause of damage like this would be voltage surges getting to the motherboard / CPU. This could be due to a faulty PSU, although Corsair RM units are generally considered pretty reliable it's a possibility if things keep getting damaged. It could also be caused by spikes from your mains supply, although if this is the case I would imagine you would also have problems with other electrical devices besides your PC.

The other thing that can lead to these types of problems is if you are running your components out of spec (i.e. if you have overclocked your system in any way) as this puts more stress on parts can can result in failure.

I tought that the psu might be faulty too. And just in case i've sent it to the retailer wich sent it to the provider. And i've been notified that the psu is fine.
Although i heard once some kind of a static sound comming from the psu even though the psu had the switch on the off position. Regarding the overclock i never bothered doing something like that. I only used msi afterburner to change my Gpu fan curve.
