Question Can a Dark Rock 4 Cool Ryzen 7 3700x?

Im trying to build a new pc, and I was wondering if the Dark Rock 4 was good enough to cool the CPU and even OC well. My case is the Eclipse p400a. Please get back, thanks.

on pcpartpicker it says that it is compatible, so do you think ill need the adapter?

It should come with the needed parts to mount to an AM4 socket, according to the link provided earlier, if from current stock. If an older release, it is possible for it to be missing from the kit.

At this point, not really. But I want a cooler that can manage OC if I want to in the future.

The Dark Rock 4 should meet your needs. The included Wraith (with the 3700X) is perfectly fine if you are not planning to OC.

Yep the Dark Rock Pro 4 should be fine for pretty much anything you want to do.

could i do any OC with the wraith? I ended up not getting any cooler because the sales tax was so high lol

I would not recommend OCing with the stock cooler. You might get a bit more out of it, but not enough to be worthwhile.

To be honest you can't do much OCing with Ryzen 3000 regardless what cooler you have.

Trying to use the stock wraith cooler for overclocking would be probably pushing your luck a bit. If you are determined to overclock it you'll need to get a better cooler like the Dark Rock Pro 4 or similar, sales tax or not.
