just wondering what part works well with intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31270 @ 3.40 GHZ. Any recommandation?

My advice to you would be to post the whole build... motherboard,power supply model and the case you're using will be more helpful in checking the compatibility with a GPU.

Without having any clue about any of that, a 1660 should be compatible with the motherboard atleast , your CPU being a 2nd gen sandy bridge.

The card should work well overall... won't be bottlenecked a whole lot by the CPU.
