Can I delete the page file?

I have heard and read that putting your page file on another hard drive will help. I have done that for several reasons but now I want to know how I can or if I can delete the left over page file that is on the c drive where it originated. I have a page file for hdd F in place. This is vista os.

Set your page file to "No page File" and it will delete.

I did that and it did not delete. It would not delete until I made the page file 16mb which is the smallest it would let me go, so at this size it is almost as well as deleted.

I think you have to set to no page file, restart and delete or go into safe mode.
