Can I run games like battlefield 3 or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on this syst

Hi there,


I want to run games like Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 or any good graphic games on this system.I dont want ultra high settings on the games but settings like medium.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66 GHZ

4 GB of RAM

Ati Radeon XFX hd 6790

@1080P u should get smooth frames in Modern Warfare. BF 3 will need to be @720P, low settings, no AA.

6790 is a good mid range card . it can easily handle BF3 at 1080p at high with no AA with playable fps. dont say 720p and low. say that for a 6450 not a 6790.

By playable, I wouldn't really say 30 fps is playable. Some people would, but 60 fps is a must for smooth gameplay.

Not likely. A 6850 can handle BF3 smoothly at 1920x1080 with 'most' settings on high provided that it's accompanied by at least a mid range Nehalem processor. Core 2 Quad processors can handle it but it will run very poorly on a first generation Core 2 Duo.

Thank you all for the quick replies.Other than Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3, would I be able to run good graphics games like Skyrim, GTA 4, Splinter Cell Conviction,etc.

GTA4 is kind of a slug on any system, but it will run. Skyrim will run okay but not terrific because some of the graphical components are software driven. I can't comment on Conviction.

Skyrim will need CPU overclocking, GPU should work fine if you keep draw distance at 60-70%. GTA 4 is slow on any system due to very poor coding during porting process. Conviction should play fine.
