[SOLVED] Can I use 2666Mhz on a i5-6600

So my board is an asus strix h270f and the chip i5-6600 and my question is can I use 2 sticks of 8gb ram each 2666frequency?Will the ram just run at 2133Mhz? Will it not run at all?

It would work but you will not be able to run it at 2666 MHz. You'll be limited to 2133 MHz.

That doesn't bother because the price is really cheap but you sure it will work it says on my motherboard only 2133/2400
