Hello! I found my old PC that I had back in 2008 or so and would like to upgrade it a little bit. I am wondering if I can boot or even connect a SSD on this motherboard?

If not, what is a fastes HDD that I can use with this motherboard? I am guessing a 5400rpm drive would be compatible with this motherboard?

Thank you!

Here is the link to the motherboard I am referring to: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M2NSLI_Deluxe/

Yes, an SSD, even at SATA II level, will be noticeably faster than a spinning HDD.
Moderate your expectations of 'fast', and don't put too much money into this old dinosaur.

But a 2.5" SATA SSD will work.

Thank you for replying!

The only reason I want to upgrade this old PC is because I have dual GPU setup (two geforce 9800gt) and want to try some old games and see what it can run.
