can my mobo handle dual-core amd???

I'm thinking of upgrading to a dual-core 939 amd. I have an Abit AV8 motherboard I bought about two years ago for a single core AMD64 3400+ cpu. I'm looking to get a Socket 939 AMD64 X2 dual core, but I want to make sure my mobo can handle dual core. any help?

better to use the global abit site as it's more upto date (uabit com will replace the abit-USA site but it's still being built).

You need BIOS 21 or later for dual core use.
