can the Epomaker SK87 ABS rgb be set without needing to install any control software on the PC ?

I'm considering getting one to go with some silent gateron black an red switches and custom keycaps for my 2nd Pop_OS build.

There isn't much info I can find about the keyboard from Epomaker's support site, which to me is very silly. I can't find the manual for your keyboard to see if you have hardware level control using the keys like you do with Ducky keyboards. To add, yes the software will allow you to customize the backlighting on the keyboard. It shouldn't be a hassle to install or manage on your platform.

thanks , i saw one of bettys youtube channel vids via switch an click reviewing one of epomakers boards in which you could with some select keystrokes from just the board customize the rgb very well with out a pc i just cant find that specific vid to know which one it was
