Hello all.
My friend is gonna be a mechanical engineering student, and he asked me to find a proper and cheap laptop.

So in the price range my friend told me I found this laptop:
Lenovo ideapad3, i3-1005G1 ( or 10110u), Nvidia mx130, 8gb DDR4 ram, 1tb HDD and 1366*768 15.6" display.

Is this laptop good for him?
And if it isn't, can you please tell me what is the minimum requirements for such a use?

(I know SSD can be a great improve of speed in rendering, etc. . We'll upgrade this later)

Right off the bat I would say no. This will be a slow computer, even before mechanical engineering softwares are added. You should be able to get a list of softwares you will be using, from the school, before the class begins. Look at each of those software's recommended specs/requirements.
