on the hp website it says it has an m.2 socket and the ssd im using right now is an m.2 thoThe Samsung 970 evo Plus SSD is a NVMe SSD with M.2 interface. M.2 is not supported on that motherboard.
You need a SATA 2.5" SSD , like the Samsung 860 evo.
ok thanks for the helpIt will work on your Motherboard. The HP Moria motherboard has one M.2 slot with an A key labelled "socket 1" and one more M.2 slot with an M key labelled "socket 3". This is the position of the gap in the pins. The 970 Evo plus uses the M key M.2 for the PCIe x4 interface. You can plug this SSD into "socket 3".
