[SOLVED] Can we play 1440p gaming on 4k monitor?

Can we play 1440p gaming on Gigabyte M28U Monitor?
Is that a bad idea?
or
what PC specs I need for this monitor for 4K gaming?

usually the latest gpu that's strong enough like 3070, 3080/Ti, 3090 should be able to do 4K pretty ok, while for cpu, 12~11th gen intel cpus and ryzen 5000 cpus are pretty much okay to do 4k gaming (with bunch of rams, prolly 32gigs should be plenty).

yes i prefer 5800x3d with 3080ti
To my knowledge playing GTA V , COD Black Ops Cold War like games in 4k is not a bad idea.
But games like pubg, volarant, apex legends needs high fps, for this I'm asking, can we play 1440p on this monitor.

My target is single monitor for PS5 and PC gaming.

Yes, if you're not really eye keen to the differenece of details doing 1440p or even 1080p on a 4K monitor, i see no problem with it. Lowering the resolution does help alot on getting the fps.
