[SOLVED] Can you use a USB 3.1 Gen2 as a display out?

Solution
USB-C, by definition, is not a Display standard, it's a physical interface standard.
USB-C can also be utilized for display if designed/implemented to do so - as it must incorporate "alternate mode". Basically, dedicating some wiring within a connector/cable for display.

That can be implemented either via Thunderbolt3 or DisplayPort Alternate mode. I believe HDMI alternate mode also exists, but it's not very common at all.

However, rear IO Type-C, unless specifically identified otherwise, is typically a data transfer port only (ie no "alternate mode" is present").
