Hello Friends,
Yesterday one of my friends came to me with his TP Link TL WR841N modem, that he bought somewhere online.

He wanted to access the modem but he said the firmware has been ugraded with different company or I don't know that theory.

I tried to access it using common IPs but I could not able to login.
Also I have reset it.
Did not work.

Any help please?

Thank you

Could you access the login page or did it just refuse the login?

If you can't see the login page due to not know IP then disconnect anything else that may be connected and type arp -a at the command prompt. If its working it should list the router IP. Change your IP manually to the same IP but 1 up from it i the last segment as in Nuwan's answer above. Now try login. If software is DD-WRT as suggested by you friend saying firmware has been changed then try Username: root Pass: admin

I am sorry for late reply,

And thank you for your interest.

My router doesn't provide any IP to my connected PC and when I check arp -a, it shows APIPA.

Yes, TCP/IP is set to Auto. My router doesn't provide any IP to my connected PC and when I check arp -a, it shows APIPA.
