Cannot connect to Linksys Router 192.168.1.1 Web Page

Make sure you connect to a LAN port on that router and not the WAN port or a port on another router chained to it.
Wait to get an IP.
If you do not get an IP, set your Ethernet port to dynamically assigned IP and DNS.
Open a command prompt and run
ipconfig

note the gateway address of connection to the router. if a gateway address si not shown try ipconfig /all
type that gateway IP in a browser.
This should be the login screen for the router and should show a POPUP [you may need to disable pop up blockers if you have them or tell your browser/blocker to allow them from this website and try it again]

If it still does not allow you in, power cycle it.
