Question Cannot get Display to show 1080p resolution

Hello guys,
I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. Yesterday I installed my new GTX 1660ti and had a fun time gaming with my new rig. Today when I tried to turn on my computer the monitor did not wake up. I tried force restarting and the monitor woke up this time but refused to switch to 1080p, it now thinks 720p is native.

My monitor also is not recognizing my laptop when I plug in an HDMI. I really do not want to have to buy a new monitor, any tips?

What monitor do you have?
Are latest drivers installed?
Are you using hdmi? Display port?

Sorry for the late reply. I guess the monitor must have just died. I tried using it with my laptop and it still did not work. I fixed the problem by buying a new monitor.
