Cannot get on the internet through wireless

I just recently purchased a Net Gear wireless router, I am unable to get on the internet unless I have the ethernet connected to my laptop. Net Gear was of no help. I really need help, have a paper due tonight!

is the wireless on the router enabled?

did you type the password correctly? it is case sensitive
