I have an msi z170m mobo and a i5 6600k. I've that you should be able to reach around the 4.3ghz mark with ease and without making any adjustments to voltage etc. however I always seem to get a crash when i stress test it even as low as 4.1ghz, no matter how high the voltage i give it is it still happens to crash. i tried using the turbo boost feature and stress test it and so far it hasnt crashed(4.1ghz boost).
The temperatures are fine doesnt seem to exceed 65C with a 212x cooler.
When i was setting up the machine I did brush up a few pins but I made sure they were somewhat back in place and the PC works flawlessly without overclocks maybe that could be an issue? My PSU is an 850Watt rm850x so i guess i have enough power too.

You have to manual set the voltage to stock voltage not leave it at automatic. Listen to me reset the bios back go into windows open cpuz see what the max turbo voltage is than go into the bios and manual set...
Yes, you sould be able to get over 4.3 almost by the CPU multiplier alone without any changes.

Just put the values you have into the bios (cpu mult, base clock, voltages, ram, etc...) for example with a couple of photographs of the bios to see if its anything wrong...

.. the other option is that you have lost the silicon lotery, and outside changing the CPU is no solution.

These are the settings I tried that still came up with a crash.
Ive been having issues with installing intel graphics if that helps.

If its crashing than your overclock isnt stable. It may be the board or your power supply.
Is 1.30 stock voltage for that chip ? I would reset the settings in the bios boot windows see what you cpu is hitting in cpu z at stock settings manual set the voltage to stock volts i would stay under 1.30

I resseted my bios settings many times trying to get a stable overclock and only changing the clock speed yet no avail. I have it running on turbo boost 4.1ghz right now with no problems and its going at 1.344V.
