I bought this laptop with Win11 home over a year ago. I was careless with the specs - it's a bit hardware challenged. I tried Ubuntu for a while, but then reinstalled Win11 over the weekend.

When I first bought it, and under Ubuntu, it could read the drive. After reinstalling Win11 (version and build listed above), I get an error connecting. I did find a related thread with the same issue on Win10, but the thread was locked. I checked the SMB Protocol and it was set for SMB2, SMB3. I added SMB1 - no luck. I changed it to SMB1 only - no luck. I currently have it set for SMB3 only - no luck. My other laptop has the same version/build and I'm not having any trouble.

The MyCloudEX2 shows up as a storage device in the Networking group. I can't log into the admin page using the E410. I can't navigate to the drive in Windows Explorer using the name or the IP address.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Completely forgot about the firewall!

The laptop is connecting wirelessly directly to the router. It doesn't have an ethernet port, but I do have a USB adapter. I tried that - no luck.

It is set up as a private network.

It has Microsoft Defender as the antivirus and the Microsoft Defender Firewall.

Rebooted the router - no change.

Turned off the firewall for the private network and it now also shows up as a drive. However, I'm still getting the same error, and the firewall keeps turning itself back on again.

I found another place where I could turn it off, but that still didn't solve the problem.

I rebooted into Safe Mode with Networking and tried it using wireless and wired. Nothing on the network showed up.
