I have Time Warner[Road Runner] and an ARRIS TG862 router. I have tried cmd->ipconfig->and connected through the address shown[Default Gateway;192.168.0.1] and have tried an ipconfig/ flushdns -> /release ->renew as well to no avail. Is there anything I could do to access the page? Thanks.
P.S. This was all done through a Windows 7 desktop connected directly to the router through an Ethernet cable

Yes and the configuration page still does not load. It tries to load 'http://192.168.0.1/' but gives me this after ~3 minutes:
"This webpage is not available
The connection to 192.168.0.1 was interrupted."

There should be a factory reset button somewhere on the router. You may need a paperclip to push the button. Anyhow, check your router manual for the default address. Factory reset the router then see if you can access the config page. Be sure to reset your password if you factory reset.

it has to do with your computer i had the same issue, and trouble shooted it, did every thing mention before wasnt working on my laptop so i decided to try it on a my desktop, i can access my login page threw my desktop but not my laptop, i can also access my login page threw my galaxy 3 web browser, i think its has to do with win7 operating system not being compatible , my desktop has vista, and works fine, and my on my phone it works fine

What in the world is he going to gain by entering his external IP address?? It certainly will not give him access to his router config page
