Can't access router password...

Greetings,

I have a router, D-Link DSL-2640B, and when I type "192.168.0.1" it demands me the username & a password... I resetted my router several times, and on manual it's written that the default username & password is "admin", but when I type it, it asks me to retype it again (so it says that I wrote the incorrect username/pass)... I've tried all the usernames & passwords though... (admin, user, blank, public, dlink, ...) but nothing worked... so you guys are my last hope...

or possibly 192.168.1.1
Are you doing this wired, or wireless?

Hi and thanks so much for a rapid answer!

my ip for router is 192.168.0.1 (i searched it on cmd - ipconfig... so the 192.168.1.1 doesn't work for my router. 🙁
And I do this wired

From a full reset, the default username/password WILL work.
Possibly you're not holding the reset button long enough.

I did everything that was written on the manual (20sec, 10 sec, router turned off, turned on, without the ethernet cable, everything...)

1. Why are you doing this?
2. From a full, actual, reset...the default username/password can't fail to work. I have never, ever seen a functional router that failed this.
