Question Cant decide on two laptops

I've been really into pc then suddenly I like the idea of laptops again. So I was looking for laptops and came across these two different laptops. I couldn't decide between them as they are really similar.

I like the look of the TUF laptop a lot more than the ZenBook, but I have two 8gb sticks of DDR3L. So I was just wondering which one I should get. Oh but if you know any other laptop that is 900 USD or under and is better than these two please tell me that one instead.

What's the laptop going to be used for? The Tuf laptop is way more geared toward gaming if that's what you're after. The other laptop doesn't have a dedicated graphics card or 120Hz display (easier on the eyes) and a smaller ssd. If not gaming id go for the Tuf. If games are inmind then definitely the Tuf.

Btw, what do you mean by having 2x 8gb ddr3l? Just checking because laptop memory is different form factor to desktop.

I am looking at gaming, but I watch youtube videos too. What I was really having problems with is if 16gb of ddr3 is better than 8gb of ddr4

16GB is a good amount but the hardware in the ddr4 laptop is better than the other laptop. Can always get more ddr4 ram and keep your laptop as is.

It appears that the "solved" feature is only available on specific forums, and those appear to be the technical forums rather than those designated as discussion.

I have only two (I think) topics where I, myself, am the original poster. When I found the one in the Windows 10 forum the trophy icon does indeed appear immediately above the upvote chevron. The other, in Forum Feedback, does not present any up/down vote option or the solved trophy icon.
