I recently "upgraded" from a 10700k to a 11700k because i wanted to utilize the gen4 capability of my motherboard.

before i upgraded i cleared my cmos then booted into windows no problem before i remembered o yea 2133 thing so back to bios to enable XMP.

BAM boot error XMP wont work at all.
I updated my bios.
I reseated my CPU.
I tried changing many settings like increasing latencies to try make higher frequencies stick tried higher frequencies with the standard latencies tried it all with and without a voltage increase.
Was able to make some settings stick like under-clocking to 1600mhz!
As well as gear 1 gear 2( both only with 2133mhz) voltage settings stick but if i try to couple them with mhz it just fails to boot...

Am i missing something obvious like my last brain cell or?

i saw someone asking for specs for someone else so i updated this next part.
CPU cooler: Corsair iCUE H115i 240mm AIO
SSD/HDD: Seagate Firecuda 530 m.2 gen4 nvme 500gb
GPU:RTX3070 Ti Aorus
PSU:Gigabyte P1000GM 1000W 80+ Gold
Chassis:DeepCool Matrexx55 Mesh
OS: Win10 Pro
RAM:https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/ME...-F4-3200C16D-16GTRS-16GB#product-specs-anchor
x4 sticks
Mobo:Gigabyte z590 Aorus Elite rev 1.0 runing the latest version bios.
CPU:11700k

XMP of 3200 15/16/16/42 with 1.4V ran fine on 10700k with same mobo.

Got some settings i can try?

latest motherboard bios?

look like you are using 2 ram kit.
test with just 2 stick of ram?
O wow that worked somehow i put 2 sticks in one in each primary slot then applied XMP and it stuck and booted, then i turned it off and put in the other 2 sticks and it applied XMP to all and it booted :D. thank you very much sir!
