all 4 of my case fans stopped working recently, it seems like the fan hub is faulty so I want to get a replacement.

The only problem is I can't find a 5 pin fan hub anywhere and my fans all have 5 pin connections. There are 3 pin, 4 pin and even 6 pin fan hubs, but no 5 pin. my current fan hub is called rainbow 5p.

is my only option to buy a 3 pin / 4 pin fan hub and buy 4 adaptors for the fans?

Okay I finally get it. These fans have there own propitiatory connectors and thus you have to buy another set. You might be able to reset them which seems possible...see thread below.

Personally if you can afford something as simple and cost effective as these which are not propitiatory and have standard 4pin PWM fan connectors and 3 pin ARGB connectors, you will have no issues. These types of fans provide ARGB and motherboard fan control and they are cost effective! You can probably see them in my small PC pic and I have just got the Coolermaster ones and they are stunning with good airflow as well...
