I can only get everest and core temp to display my temperature and they both say that both more cores (core 2 duo, e6600 @ 2.7) are idling at 55-60 degrees, this cannot be right I have pretty good cooling I'd say.

TAT gives me an error "error numerating on demand clock modulation support"

I have user account control disabled, I try running it in administrator mode as well as xp sp2 mode but still same error.

Is there a fix, or anything else that will give me the absolute correct temperature for my cpu?

Under WinXP, TAT was giving me exactly the same error notification 'til the moment I've ENABLED "CPU Thermal Monitor function" in "Advanced CPU Settings" in BIOS. Then it started to work without any error messages. Hope this helps.
