So i just bought a new TV and it should be able to display 4k 60hz, but the max im getting on windows 10 is 30hz. ive already tried having it as my only display instead of duplicating, and still cant get it at 4k 60hz. if i put it at 60hz, the resolution drops to 480p. i can get 60hz at 1080p, but as soon as set the resolution to anything above 1080p im limited to 30hz. Could it be my HDMI cable?

Could be the cable if it's not high-speed. Could be the graphics card too.

List PC specs including TV.
yeah, should have done a bit more research before i posted.
I have an R9 390 which only has HDMI 1.4. So im limited to 4k 30HZ. ill have to buy a Display port to HDMI converter if i want to get 4k 60hz. but even then, since its only display port 1.2 it wont support HDR. looks like ill have to upgrade my GPU pretty soon.
