Question Can't install NEW 4.7.2 .NET Framework in Windows 7

First, I uninstalled the old version and installed the new version from Microsoft official website. But now I can't install Windows .NET Framework.
Please help me.

Yes Windows update will install it and if you haven’t been updating your OS this is probably the reason you can’t install it. Also there is no reason to remove any version of.net from your computer once installed

Run windows updates until there’s no more updates. Then install.net

If it gives the fail "a certain update needs to be installed before .net framework can be installed" the d3dcompiler.dll update the update for it is KB4019990: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au...r-the-d3dcompiler-47-dll-component-on-windows

1. download this
   1. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/thank-you/net472
2. run it.
3. when if fails, go get the log files in the user %temp% area
4. open windows explorer
5. in address bar type in %temp%
6. sort files for latest created on top
7. find the .txt and .log files associated with the install
8. zip them and link it to here and I will look at the log files.
