[SOLVED] Can't open any applications on my desktop

Hey having trouble with my pc. After installing synapse software. I am unable to open any icons or am able to go to the start menu. Here are a few things that I did.

1. Task manager > windows explorer > restart

2. Powershell > sfc /scanner > dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

3. System recovery

4. Restart pc and shut up

Still having the same issue. I am able to move the pointer around but I can not open the icons. Also, device manager, task manager, and etc.. I was able to move the windows around. So I can't seem to figure out the issue.

Which version of Windows 10 are you on? What is the make and model of your motherboard? Which BIOS version are you currently on?

I was able to move the windows around.
So by that you mean you can drag the window for each task around on GUI?

I am using version windows 10 pro. I am able to only move device, task manager window around. but I can not open any applications by clicking on the icon. I have to navigate through with my keyboard.

at login screen, click the power button in bottom right of screen
while holding left shift, click restart button
this loads you into advanced startup
mouse should work here

lets try safe mode
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up options
click the restart button
choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
Pc will restart and load safe mode

it should be normal here. If it is caused by Synapse.

In normal mode, can you access all the menus? you just can't move them? tried uninstalling Synapse?

What Razer gear do you have? mouse?
