is it anyway to store an OS like win 98 to a CDR so that i can boot the whole windows from the CDR??

Why would you even want to do that?? Hard drives are much faster than CD drives. I don't know of any way that can be done. Sorry.

There is the small matter of READ ONLY being related to cdrs..plus one little scratch on the wrong place means goodbye Win98 kernel..among huge amounts of other issues..forget it.

i need it for rescue my HDD sometimes
when it got error because i always cause my windows hang..

Windows always hangs, that's completely normal operation

If you want to backup your installation of Windows including its configuration then try using Norton Ghost from Symantec. Their website has got loads of info on it..
