Hello,

So for some reason when i woke up this morning, certain websites weren't loading for me. I've had this problem before, but i cant remember exactly what i did to fix it.

Things to know:

I cant access these sites on any other web browser
When i use a proxy, these sites load.
ipconfig /flushdns had NOT worked
clearing my cache and history hasn't worked either
On other PCs using the same internet connection (Although they are -wireless-) can NOT connect.

Anyways any help would be great, thanks.:)

Solution
Your router might require a reboot for that setting to take effect. If that still does not fix it then it might be something with your computer then.

If that is the case then Lets flush your local computer's DNS and reset the TCP/IP stack then.
Open a command prompt window as administrator (will have to right click on icon and select "Run as Administrator" in drop down menu) and type the following commands:
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log

Then reboot computer.

If that still did not fix the issue then go to your adapter settings (under network and sharing center) select the lan adapter you use, go into properties, and under IPv4 settings manually set your computer to use the 8.8.8.8 and...

Thats a good point
Try WIndows key + R
And type in CMD
Then type tracert and after the tracert command the webpage you try to access .. example
tracert www.google.com
Check where the timeout happens and show us a screenshot or something.

It looks like its your isp's fault! Try calling them and asking why you cant access the page!

If anything pages will load a little faster.

Google has more $$ and assets then your ISP so they can keep a larger record of DNS records to hopefully provide you a more direct route to the website server you are trying to connect to which should ultimately result in less time to get the data back to your computer to display on your screen.

Now the downside is that you are more directly telling Google what webpages you are visiting.

Im having a bit of trouble changing my DNS. I have a Cisco router and it's support it a bit shoddy. Anyways this is what the DNS section looks like. (http://gyazo.com/33ea2a15805598b432697ce001d0b5c7) when i put Googles DNS server address in it gives me that error [(The hostname specified is not a fully-qualified domain name. (notfqdn)].

Ok, that is the wrong spot.

What you tried to input was the DDNS which is different, DDNS is having your router alert a third party that your network IP has changed (most ISPs assign you dynamic IPs that change every week or two).

You want to change the normal DNS entry which is under Lan Setup:
http://screenshots.portforward.com/routers/Cisco/DPC3825/LAN_Setup.htm

Change static dns1 to 8.8.8.8
and static dns 2 to 8.8.4.4

I did that. But it seems that i still can't connect to the website.

^ That's the sequence i get when i tracert the website now.

I'm beginning to get suspicious of the problem. Becuase this seems to be the only website that i have trouble connecting to.
