[SOLVED] Chance of recovery of a water damaged phone

I accidentally dropped my Moto G4 Plus in water on march 31 night.. After this happened, i put it aside for a few hours and then when i started to use it, i noticed some water had entered inside the display from the top left, phone was working but within a few seconds or minutes, touch stopped working and overnight phone discharged completely. The next day i see that phone is charging and works but there's no display. and now i only see a white led blink when connected to power otherwise no activity. Is there any chance i could get it back to life?
I went to a local phone repair shop yesterday and after checking they told me that motherboard and connectors are fine but water has entered inside the display and it is not possible to fix that and all i can do is get the display replaced.

I think they are probably correct.....but something you could try would be to get some desiccant and put the phone in a box with it for a few days and hope for the best.
