Change lcd screen resolution

my LCD is of 17 inch and gives 16:9 aspect ratio which gives a resolution of 1280x720 but i want the resolution of 1024x768 coz all my wallpapers are of this resolution... any idea how should it be done.??

go to your driver software Nvidia or ATI ones and look for resolution or screen size

for nvidia its Change resolution or change screen size

should be same something like that for ATI cards also

if you got Intel GPU then try looking for display drivers and find anything do with resolution
