I try downloading Mass Effect Andromeda and the default location is shown as 'C' which is my 250G SSD hard drive that I wish to keep for system stuff. How can I change that default location to read 'E' which is my 1TB Local storage?
At present there is nothing downloaded from Origin, which I only re-joined a day or two ago on replacing my Hard Drive and Windows 10.

I downloaded Mass Effect last night but uninstalled it immediately when I saw it was in Drive C.

I've tried to find an answer in Origin without success.

Go to game library location > change E:\(folder name for install location) E being the letter of the drive you want to install it to

You literally hit the change button and it should open an explorer window so you can pick a folder and drive to install to.

Whatever you want it to be. I recommend making the name something that makes sense in case you need to find the game files later for some reason. For example I use D:\Game Libraries\Origin Library (that's because steam sits at D:\Game Libraries\Steam Library all in one place) In your case you can use something like E:\Origin or whatever.

Thanks, Spectre694. Sorry to appear dumb. The existing target is C:/Program Files(x86)\Origin Games.

Can I use the same only with an E instead of C? Or does it not matter what I call it- the games will run OK?

I may have to phone my son on this one. I can just hear the - Jeez, Pops!

Haha its all good we all learn sometime. It doesn't actually matter what you call it so if you want to use the same path just with E instead no problem or if you want to call it something else no problem there too. Just as long as you set it with that button it doesn't matter.
