I have a newb question. This is "real time" rendering, but does that mean that gameplay can be expected to look as good? I assume you could overrepresent capabilities by rendering a predetermined scene in realtime, whereas when it comes to actual gameplay, you'd be bogged down a bit by other variables (a.i. and the like) as well as the amount of time that can be feasible spent on textures/modeling for a full game. Same question goes for unreal engine.

Isn't this the engine being used for Crysis 2? Maybe just not the most up to date version... I must admit, the updated Unreal Engine looks a bit better and wasn't that ALSO in real time? They showed off some MSAA screenshots...Buuuut...they also needed THREE GTX 580's! I can run Crysis 2 on two 460's! The frostbite engine is also looking to be pretty impressive and they said in GImag that you won't need the most expensive hardware to run it in all its glory! For something like UE3.975, I don't see it coming until the next gen stuff comes out. Kinda makes me wish I had held out a bit longer for two 560's or the 590... or two 460-2Win's!!!

[citation][nom]malmental[/nom]at first I thought that was Bam too.. LOL[/citation]

I had to double check! Lol! At least I'm not the only one who thought so!

This shit still lags the consoles, maybe think about optimizing the code.
