Hi,

I have a friend that recently bought a custom PC from NZXT. They are attempting to update the AMD chipset drivers (running a 7000 series Ryzen with the B650E chipset). When they go to install the drivers, they receive the following error.

“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable”

“Enter an alternate path to a folder containing the install package AMD_Chipset_Drivers.msi”

The default path AMD has references C:\Users\administrator\app data folder but there is no user labeled “administrator”, the name of the user is the admin account. There is also no way to change the file path the installer originally extracted the MSI to.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

That must be some older version, it was fixed since then. There are several fixes but must be installed in administrator account.
Run driver.exe file until it extracts contents to C:\AMD folder and run Setup.exe as administrator. It also helps if previous drivers are uninstalled (Control panel>Programs and features).
